The Fast Track Programme

Do you want to learn practical creative skills over 3 months and explore the world of advertising or film content creation? The Fast Track Programme is designed to give beginners a strong starting point in these fields and help them build the kinds of skills expected from entry-level job seekers.

You can choose between two courses: Fast Track Advertising or Fast Track Film. Both focus on hands-on learning and introduce you to professional Adobe software used in real creative industries.

You only need basic computer skills to start. Bring yourself, a notebook and a pen. We provide the computers, the software and the training.

By the end of the course, you will have gained practical skills, experience with industry tools, and the chance to work towards an Adobe Certified Professional qualification.

Fast Track Advertising Programme

Have you ever looked at a poster, a social media ad, a flyer, a logo or a magazine page and wondered who made it? The Fast Track Advertising Programme is a practical course that teaches you how to create this kind of visual work from the beginning. You do not need design experience or software knowledge to start.

In this programme, you will learn to use professional Adobe software used in advertising, marketing and design:

  • Adobe Illustrator for logos, shapes, graphics and illustration
  • Adobe Photoshop for editing and improving images

You will learn how to:

  • design posters, adverts and social media visuals
  • create clean layouts for print and digital use
  • work with colour, text, images and composition
  • edit photos and prepare images for creative projects
  • build graphics that can be used in different sizes and formats
  • understand how advertising visuals are planned and made

These are useful skills for work in advertising, design studios, marketing teams and content creation. Businesses need people who can help create the visual side of campaigns, from simple promotional graphics to larger branded material.

By the end of the programme, you will sit the Adobe Certified Professional exam and leave with a portfolio of real work. Not a certificate collecting dust. A body of work you can show.

What you get:

  • Full programme at no cost to you
  • Monthly stipend for the duration of training
  • Adobe Certified Professional certification (Certiport)
  • A portfolio ready for job applications
  • Instruction from industry practitioners

Programme times: The programme runs in two groups — mornings (9:00–12:00) or afternoons (13:00–16:00).

Who this is for: You are creative. You are motivated. You hold a qualification at NQF Level 5 or equivalent. You do not need prior design experience — you need the drive to show up and do the work.

For many students, this programme can be a first step into a creative working world they may never have had access to before. It is about learning practical skills, building confidence, and opening up real work opportunities.

Fast Track - Film Programme

Do you enjoy videos, movies, YouTube content, music videos or social media clips? The Fast Track Film Programme is a practical course that helps you learn how videos are made and edited for the real world of work. You do not need previous film experience or software knowledge to start.

In this programme, you will learn to use two professional Adobe programmes used in film, TV, marketing and online content creation:

  • Adobe Premiere Pro for video editing
  • Adobe After Effects for visual effects and motion graphics

You will learn how to:

  • cut and arrange video clips into a clear final edit
  • add titles, text and moving graphics
  • work with green screen effects
  • use masking, tracking and time effects
  • combine video, images and design elements into one finished piece
  • understand the basics of editing, storytelling and professional workflow

These are the kinds of skills used by people who work in video production, content creation, post-production and digital media. The course is designed for beginners and focuses on practical learning, so you build confidence while working with real industry software.

For many students, this can be a first step into a creative career path that may previously have felt out of reach. It is about learning useful skills, building ability, and opening doors to future work opportunities.
