The Steam page for AMANZI is now live, marking an exciting milestone for Loud Rabbits, the Academy of Digital Arts, and the alumni game students who developed the project during the Academy’s Game Production Incubator 2024/25.

Developed in Cape Town, AMANZI is an Africa-inspired first-person sci-fi stealth-action game set in a futuristic city shaped by water, technology and social tension. The Steam page launch is more than a public milestone for the game itself — it is also a strong sign that the Game Production Incubator is succeeding in its goal of helping alumni deepen their skills through meaningful large-scale production experience.
For the alumni involved, this achievement also reflects how their education during the Game & Interactive Media Development course at the Academy prepared them for work of this level. Their training gave them the creative, technical and collaborative foundation needed to contribute to a larger production with real public visibility, while also deepening their understanding of pipelines, teamwork and the demands of professional game development.
Having a released public version of a project connected to their CVs is especially valuable for graduates starting out in the industry. It gives them tangible proof of experience, shows that they have worked on a production with real-world standards, and helps demonstrate both skill and commitment to future employers and collaborators.
With the Steam page now live, AMANZI has taken an important step into the public eye — and with a demo coming soon, the project continues to highlight what South African game talent can achieve when supported by strong education and the right production environment.
