Adobe Illustrator

Adobe Illustrator is the industry standard for vector graphics, used by graphic designers, illustrators and brand professionals to create artwork that scales perfectly from business card to billboard. In this course you will build from the ground up, learning the Illustrator workspace, artboards, colour modes, swatches, gradients and the fundamental difference between vector and bitmap images. You will master the essential drawing tools, including the pen tool, pathfinder operations, basic shapes, transformations and stroke properties, then progress to type, layers, clipping masks, blending modes and symbols. In the final week you will explore envelope distort, 3D effects, graphic styles, image trace and Illustrator's latest generative AI features, including Text to Vector and Generative Fill. You will leave with a Certificate of Completion from the Academy of Digital Arts and a portfolio of vector artwork ready to show employers.
