Design experiences that put people first
User experience design is the practice of creating digital products that genuinely work for the people who use them — combining research, strategy, and design thinking to build products that are both usable and engaging. In this course you'll work through the complete UX process: from understanding users and defining problems through to creating personas, journey maps, wireframes, and prototypes in Figma. You'll develop core research skills including user interviews, surveys, card sorting, and competitive analysis, building the foundation for evidence-based design decisions. In the final week you'll apply your skills to usability testing, learning how to evaluate your designs and iterate based on real user feedback. You'll leave with a Certificate of Completion from the Academy of Digital Arts and a UX project demonstrating your end-to-end design process.
What you'll learn
In this course you will learn the following skills:
- The UX mindset: empathy, accessibility, and user-first thinking
- Core principles of usability and human-computer interaction
- User flows, site maps, and wireframes
- How to use tools like Miro, Notion, and Balsamiq for planning
- UX writing and content hierarchy basics
- Real-world case studies and critique sessions
How it works
The course runs Mondays and Wednesdays from 6 pm to 8 pm. On Tuesdays there will be a check-in session with the lecturer.
Over the runtime of the course you will learn everything from scratch while being instructed by a lecturer.
After the course is finished you will receive a Certificate of Completion.
You will have your project work as part of your portfolio.
